Hello,

I need some help , my 280 ce while trying to tune it to pass smog died on me.

Here's where I am at:

new plugs and wire. new oil and filter, checked cam and dist by removing the the valve cover and lining everything up and check dizzy for correct location. checked to see that each wire is getting spark.
When I try and start it it acts like a bent valve but I only am seeing a about 5 degrees out at the crank vs the cams. I have back fire poping out the intake.. ! ouch.. previous to smog test I notice a slight miss out the tail pipe.
I thought it was just wires and plugs. Next thing I know I have no start.
Checked the firing order 20 times.

Checked to see if fuel was coming in at the distribution inlet. just last year did the fuel pump and filter.

At this point I think .what next
1. ignition contrl box ? even though i have spark ?
2. ecu ? where's that at? or do i have one?
3 fuel injection is screwed up big time?

Funny part is I was just smogging it to sell it to go back working on the 71 250c..

Any sugestions, would really be appreciated!
