too lazy to search - washed car and now have problems
 

I just got a 1994 C230 and had my buddy Loco wash the engine, lower the suspension, and put some 36" woofers in the trunk. The car is looking *bling bling* but is not running right. I think he got some water in the motor?

My other buddy Eddie says I need to replace the flux-gate capacitor. I took the car to Midas muffler and they said that I have a plugged cat converter. this other uptite mechanic said he would charge me $65 and hour to diagnose the problem!!! Can you believe it! what a rip-off. I mean if it's just water in the engine then all I need is some water remover. Am I supposed to pour the water remover on the engine or add it to the oil? I can't believe this car is so stupid that I can't wash the engine without it braking. And why is it so slow?

Sometimes I wish my dad had given me the BMW and given the Mercedes to my sister.

By the way, when that happens you pour that liquid into the gas, so it lubs the engine, if still having problems, Get some 10W50 oil and pour about 1/3 qt to the gas tank.... :hat:

pwood: baking soda sounds like a good idea. it should give engine a nice fresh smell too. not sure about how to mix it though. Do you have any pictures.

Okay, the gig is up. I'm trying to make a point here. It's not that I think people are ignorant or impatient, they just need a little direction up-front. I mean, after reading so many posts about people washing their engines and then having problems I think it's time to have a sticky on posting etiquette. Yes, we will need to suffer through novice posting behaviors, but I really like having a useful discussion board. One where you can post at the end of thread and not feel like it's going to get lost under the piles of new threads of people needing to be told to remove the water from thier spark plug holes. A better question is what the hell are you doing washing your engine anyway?

Are diesel drivers smarter or just better behaved? Look at the ratio of threads-to-posts on Diesel Discussion and compare it to the ratio for Tech Help. Is there any surprise that there's a sticky there telling people to search?

I am becoming envious of those brainy diesel drivers with their biodiesel and their tidy forums. I just can't take another dolt with an inane problem that is addressed dozens and dozens of times. And this is the dolt that doesn't thank those who responded. Why do we respond? Because we like to help other people. All we expect is to have our contribution recognized.

that must be one big sub... take up the entire trunk. wow.... that... you are just stupid. you messed up. your fault. and you complain to us because we haven't fixed it?? if you don't like the forum then don't use it. and this section of the forum needs a sticky for a search feature for you to search for a way out of here. i just hope you don't come back here again and that your car breaks down.. you probably drive a bmw .... I don't think the '94 C230 has a flux-gate capacitor.
