Oil Guide Tube Replacement

Maybe a stupid question, but I am doing the oil tube replacement for the ticking lifters on my 94 S500 this weekend. Should I get gasket goop for the reinstall of the valve covers. Have not done a valve cover in 20 years. I am not sure what is done these days.

Thanks
