Dinner, Dallas, Thursday June 9, 7PM

Suginami (Paul) is coming in for his annual trade show in Dallas. We will be having dinner no earlier than 7PM due to timing of Pauls flight.

The place will most likely be Sonny Bryans in the West End, a few blocks from the school book depository.

We will confirm location in the next few days.

Come one, come all. We look forward to seeing you then.

Have a great day,

TX76513,

Yes, by the grassy knoll. I've driven Paul by there every year since he started coming to Dallas and no one has taken a pot shot at him yet. Maybe it's because I'm carrying him in a car with a Texsas plate.

Will you be able to join us? Hope so.

Have a great day,

bwheitman,

Paul posts here as Suginami. He comes to Dallas about this time every year on business so we get as many people together as we can for dinner.

Hope you can join us.

Have a great day,

Larry,

Just a quick note to let you know that I would like to attend. Also, I wanted to verify the time and location.

Thanks,
Sam

Everyone,

It's great to hear that there will be several joining us. The more, the merrier!

It will be at Sonny Bryan's, 302 N. Market St. in the West End district of Dallas. The earliest we can be there will be about 7PM. Pauls plane gets in at 5:30PM and I will take him straight from his hotel. We might be there as early as 7, but it will probably be a little later. We will be there as soon as possible. If you get there before we do, just find the crowd, sit with them and enjoy your liquid refreshment until we get there.

Have a great day,

Looking forward to seeing anyone who is able to make it.

We've been doing this for 3 - 4 years now.

Usually there has been a small group that has shown up, but last year there must been at least 15 people, maybe more.

Paul, Larry et al,
I'll be blowing through Dallas on Monday morning, then again on the following Sunday. Guess I'll have to hook up with Randy in Austin instead since I'll be just a little too far for a dinner drive. I think the same thing happened last year about this time.

Driving Alert!

Larry,
In case you have not heard, Hwy. 183 from the South end of the airport has major problems. A tanker truck fire underneath the MacArthur St. overpass caused major damage and it is shut down to 1-2 lanes for repairs. And traffic through there at 5:30 in Dallas traffic will be a nitemare.

A better route would be to exit the North end of the airport and go East on Hwy 114 then to downtown. I know it may seem to be a little further but it is much easier.

I was going to send this as a PM, but thought that others might like this information.

Look forward to seeing you there.

Sam

Good and timely info!

Fortunately, from Keller, 114 is a more viable option for me...

Hi guys - I'm game. But I must agree with SDBlue --- hwy 183 is not a good idea.

Also, getting downtown at that hour is not a pleasant experience. I leave downtown around 6:15 p.m. every weeknight and the southbound traffic (the way larry/paul will be coming) is at a standstill. You guys might want to consider an alternate location?? What about Las Colinas? Or the mid cities? Somewhere closer to the airport, perhaps? Sorry for the wrench --- it's easy enough for me to get to the west end, as I'm there already. Just the rest of you guys commuting south need to beware. Chris

I will concur...my daughter's team had to get out to Fair Park one evening to play around that time...NOT a fun trip!
