Quick Coolant Question

Hi,
My radiator hose just came off, leaking coolant all over my garage. I am about to fix it, but I need to know if I can put any coolant in the car or do I have to use the MB coolant.
I have a 95 c280 w202. Thanks

David

Stick with the MB coolant.

Then again, a "which coolant to use" thread is almost as controversial as a "which oil should I use" thread around here.

what is the impact if I use something from Sears, at least for a few weeks until I go back into the shop for a flush?

Thanks

David

Zero impact, use collant and a anti-rust water pump lubricant and you will be very happy

Hi David,
ZEREX G-05 antifreeze/coolant has been suggested in this thread and others as a suitable coolant for MB vehicles. Back label on the one gallon jug states that "G-05 is used in the production of....ALL MERCEDES VEHICLES". The coolant is dyed yellow. I purchased my supply at "PEP BOYS".
