The ride on my 1984 380sl is almost like there are no shocks at all on the car. When I checked to see what is on the car the shocks appear to be cheap pep boy's shocks. I would like to replace the shocks for a softer ride and would like and suggestions that would be a little less costly then bilsteins or is that the only way to go?

If you want it to ride like it's supposed to, get the Bilsteins. Lifetime guarantee too.

If it's mine, only OEM Boge or Bilstein - no exceptions!
