87 560 SL electrical problem...
My 87 560SL has run perfectly since I purchased it 2 years ago, but last week I drove it a short distance to town and it died on me, like I was out of gas. Checked the gauge and fuel was fine, but noticed that my lights were dim and it would not turn over. Called a friend and sure enough jump starting worked? Thought it might be just a bad battery so I replaced it.
2 days later, the same thing happened, fortunately, I was in the driveway. Sound like a charging problem or is something draining the electrical system? I have a meter and know how to use it...any help would be appreciated. |

Alternator brushes? Cheap and easy fix if that's what the problem is.
