I'm new to this forum and I must say I have never seen so much information in one place about Mercedes! I'm hoping someone can answer a simple question. I have a '96 C280 with 63,000 miles. I recently had the A/C compressor replaced and the shop said that I needed the aux. fan on the right side because it wasn't working. From what I have read on this forum, isn't that the high speed fan that comes on after 105c? The left fan comes on when the a/c is activated, correct? I'm just getting conflicting information and I need to get it straight so I don't spend $150 unnecessarily.
