W220 Passenger Window Troubleshooting??

2000 S430 6/00 production vin 318xxx -- Front passenger window inop

Problem: From either passenger or drivers switch, the front passenger window will no operate. I hear one click from the passenger ctrl unit (seat switch) with a switch movement up/down but window does not move. All the other functions on the car work properly including all windows, seat ctrls, etc.

No fuse problems apparent.

No fault codes are present -- Have a Launch X431 scan tool and there are no faults presents but according to a TSB fault codes are no longer stored on the window ctrl unit.

ALLDATA does not show any diagnostic procedures to issolate the problem.

Any troubleshooting procedures would be appreciated.

Exclamation

Might get better answer in the Tech's only forum!

The interior can must talk thru X30/7, that would be the starting point. Checking the LOW/HIGH can lines there.

Of course the seat switch is the Door control module & also the window motor itself may be the problem

W220 window repair solution

After disassembling the door panel and testing everything manually it still did not make sense. I removed the window motor and tested it out of the regulator and it worked. Reassembled the car and its fine.

BY disconnecting that DCM for a while the interior CAN will erase problems!
