Check the wires leading down to the compressor plug. A lot of times the plug or wires will get broken and not have a constant connection. Also check to make sure your belt is tight. If the belt slips and the compressor does not relay the same RPM signal as the computer is reading off of the engine, the climate control will cut the compressor off. Then you will often have to cycle the key to get the A/C to resume. Good Luck. Oh the broken wire is usually at the harness down at the compressor plug holding on by a strand so you will have to open the black housing to see if it is indeed broken or not.
