Door locks quit working on 420

Hey Guys,

We got our 89 420 back from the body shop after being rear-ended last week and everything looks great, but, the door locks no longer works.

The damage was a rear end and both side panels replaced. The frame had no damage. The 18 wheeler that hit us bumper was higher than the 420's. His bumper hit the trunk one inch above my bumper and crushed the rear on the 420 almost to the rear glass.

So there was a lot of rear body work done up to the rear doors but the doors were not damaged, But now we noticed the locking system no longer works. We first notice it not working when we got out of church. We key locked the doors as usual and walked away, not noticing the locks never dropped.
Upon returning to the car I saw the car was unlocked and thought I somehow failed to turn the key enough, and pulled on the door handle and the alarm went off, So the alarm still works, but the door locks don't.

Is there a fuse or link that may have have been disconnected during the rear body work?
Or any help from the experts on the board!

Locking System Repaired!

I found the problem with the central locking system.

When the truck rear-ended us the trunk took all the force and the "Trunk Lid Lock Actuator" cracked, and the air would leak during locking. The body shop did not notice the crack and reinstalled the same part. They must not have tested the locking system before I picked up the car.

I have plugged that hose until I can locate the new actuator, so now I can lock the doors again. AND the trunk can still be locked and unlocked with the key, so my mystery is solved.
It was an uneasy feeling not being able to lock the 420 in a public area. We retired from Atlanta GA and there you always locked your vehicle. The seats would not be there if the doors were unlocked.

Thanks again!!
