27mm 6-point socket.

Torque is way up there -> 250-300 lbs. approx.

I believe there's a tool that used to lock the flywheel in order to loosen crankshaft bolt.

There is a tool to lock the flywheel and in my opinion, using it is the best way to do it. I just recently read on here where someone suggested removing one of the bolts from the torque converter/flywheel and installing a long bolt that lock the rotation of the crankshaft down to allow you to loosen/tighten the crank bolt. I have the tool for the M103 engine and w$$ish I had the one for the 617 but am planning on trying the long bolt trick next time I have to tighten one up. Right now I lock em down with a long crow bar and the proper breaker bar/socket on the crank bolt. It takes two people to do it this way. Ya'll should have been out there last time I asked the wife to help with it.

I do not know who sells the specal tool. According to one tech in the following thread, it's around $100.00.

Look at what Jim Kimmey had to say in this same thread. His approach may work for you.

On my 1992 300SE, I cut a section of the old serpentine belt that would wrap around the crankshaft pulley and used a chain pipe wrench (Harbor Freight - $20.00) and then used a breaker bar with a long (3ft.+) pipe on the breaker bar handle to loosen. Wedge the pipe wrench against the chasiss rail or have someone with a second pipe hold it in place. Same method to tighten using a torque wrench if one is available with the proper torque range. If not, tighten until can't go any further, then tighten some more.

I removed the oil pan and blocked the crankshaft with a wooden block.
This was also because I was a little worried about the seal between the oil pan and the lower front cover. It worked and I have no oil leaks. Removing the oil pan was relatively easy.

I missed the 4-matic part of the original post, with a 4-matic removing the oil pan may be not a good option.
