Meyle or Metzeler recommended

I often have a choice of brands for MB suspension and steering parts. Meyle is generally the lowest cost and they are made in Germany. How is their quality and are they a MB OE company. Alternatively Metzeler is often available for a little bit more. Are they an OE brand, better, same or worse than Meyle?

I don't believe that Meyle is an OE company for MB, but they do make a lot of replacement parts. I am only familiar with their rubber door seals, which I can tell you are of lower quality and poorer fit than the seals that you get from MB.

While probably better overall than Asian or other offshore parts, I don't think Meyle is as good as typical OE MB stuff.

Don't know about Metzeler.

Cheers,
Gerry

Exclamation

Meyle is a GERMAN company BUT 75-80% of their parts aren't OE quality & come from Middle Eastern & Pacific rim countries!!!!

THE Metzeler ones may be OE quality, PHOENIX was the original brand on the factory parts.
