ashtray removal

can anyone tell me how to remove the ashtray to access wires of the radio? Radio will not shut off, with or without the key being in the ignition. Looking for wire problems. Took out the 2 screws in the tray but it still refused to come out. Received previous advise regarding this, but still need additional instructions.
