Recently, I have noticed a lot of leaked diesel fuel in my trunk and around the filler cap. I removed the thin metal panel behind the fuel tank, fearing that my custom stereo amplifier installation may have punctured the tank. Instead, the factory-installed OKI mobile phone unit (or rather, one of the screws that held it fast to the panel) wore through the tank, and hence the spilt fuel. Has this happened to anyone else here? What's the best compound to patch it with?
