Fan stays on after shutting off engine W126
I drove back from the Jersey Shore yesterday, and the main radiator fan was still on after I shut the engine off. I thought perhaps it was designed to do that for a few minutes in case the coolant was too hot.
20 minutes later, it's still running so I started her up and drove her to work (7.5 miles). Engine running at normal temp. Shut her off for a few hours, wen to check on her and the fan is still running, now the battery is almost gone and I can't start the car. What should I be looking at? -g
