Keyless entry; Is everything here?

Could someone please look at this keyless entry system (not installed) and tell me if it will work. I'm not sure if it came with everything as I bought it used. It is a Valet system. Don't want the bells but just the entry. There just seems to be too many empty connector slots with nothing to go in. Anxious to install but do not want to make mistake. Thanks all!

I think that you'll need to post a wiring diagram for the system before anyone will know if this is complete or will work. These aftermarket keyless entry systems have some sort of circuit with a bunch of wires hanging off and the remote fobs. It appears that you've got these two items, now this trick is proper installation.

The cluster to the left is an array of relays. They get signals from the control box to turn power on and off. You'll only need one of these relays unless you want the lights to blink and the horn to honk.

The black box in the center is the control box (this is the "brain" of the system.)

Obviously you know what the FOBs are that go on your keychain.

Unless you have an instruction manual (or can get one online), then you have some work ahead of you to figure out what's what coming in and out of the control box.

there's the rub

see, I don't have a manual; know that I can look at one online and have. But there is another 12wire harness that it shows and I don't have it. Wasn't quite sure if I really need that harness. It does have the blue/green connection which I think is normally used for doors. I would think that the system has to be grounded but I can't figure out which wire if any to ground. thanks!

Doesn't the online manual tell you which wires go to what? That's all you need to know.

It's been a couple of months since I looked online at it. I'll print it out this time. I seem to remember that the 12 wire harness was integral but I was hoping someone here with Valet exp could've said; "don't worry about it, you've got enough there" I put it on the backburner earlier now the pot is moved up. Thanks for the help, but you're right.....go to the manual. Valet (DEI) is big on having their "people" install their equipment; so they make it difficult to find the info....I hate anytime I have to open a pdf file.
