Proper manual for 1990 300E

I did a search several different ways, but was unable to figure out what manual is best for my car. Can I get some recommendations on a manual for my 1990 300E, please. It's a straight 6, 3.0 liter. I must confess, I don't know all the lingo (engine model number, 124, etc), but I'm about to go in and change the head gasket and I'd like a cable and hose routing diagram, as well as all the torque specs. I've seen some mention of a CD manual that seems fairly well known on this forum, so if there is someone who can lead me to it, I'd appreciate it. Thanx.

For your 103 engine only....
Mercedes has printed book # S-2412-103.
Check with your local Parts department.

There are Body and Chassis books too.

Chassis #S-2350-124. Volume 1 and Volume 2.

I could provide a copy of the W124 cd service manual that covers your car and engine, including the torque specs for replacing the head gasket.

Your chassis is a 124.030
Your engine is a 103.983

If you're worried about cable and hose routing for this job, I suggest adding a digital camera to your tool box. That's what I've done.

Kevin, somehow you didn't get my message. This time I sent you a PM (private message) instead of using your email address.

Kestas - Cannot reply

I have sent you a PM message with the information you need. I simply cannot reply to the PM that you sent me. I have replied to it 3 times and each time my IE locks. In any case, if you don't get it, post back here and let me know. Thanx so much for your help!
