420 sel brakes

I am having an issue with my abs on my 1986 420 sel. (Yes, my 420 has abs.)

Upon searching the forums I found a thread with a similiar issue as mine that was not responded to....... so I need a little guidance.

My abs comes on when braking at seemingly random times. The abs light also comes on.

Recently I replaced rotors all the way around with pads as well. However, I was having the same abs problem BEFORE the rotor and pad replacement. I also replaced the "wear sensors" as well.

Thank you for any help you can offer.

MM

There are probably small amounts of iron filings from the brake pads on the abs sensors. Pull the abs sensors and examine the gap. You may need to remove the brake rotor and hub to clean the area behind the hub of these iron filings.
