I just bought a '79 240D and a/f having it for a day 2 windows don't work; the passenger side and the adjacent window in back. They were working fine the same day they stopped. I had driven the car for about 10min. w/the windows all down. Then I rolled them up while I was in the grocery store for about 10-15min. and when I came out they didn't work. I had driven the car that morning, but then it sat all day while I was at work (if that matters). The previous owner said he never had any problems w/the windows (expect the one behind the passenger seat, which is off all little bit so it shimmies but it still works). The owner b/f that was an old guy that kept it in his garage most of the time, it only has 167K miles on it.
I don't really know much about this type of car and would really appreciate any advice/guidance. |

If they both stopped at the same time. its probably a relay thats gone bad. The windows of my 560Sl stopped working at the same. I had the relay replaced and that did the trick.
