I think how tall you are would have to be a factor in this. I am short (5'7") and not heavy and my seat has the wear on the side. A taller person would have the seat back further (maybe even with or past the door pillar) and would not rub the seat back when getting in.

that might be true. i am 5 7 too, but not light at 198.
