When there is a vacuum leak in the headlight adjusting system of a european mercedes, the lights will drop as low as possible. The head light will be aimed just in front of the bumper and with a vacuum leak in the auto-adjusting system it is not possible to aim them any higher without turning the knobs completely out (and the lights will still be aimed too low).
Just out of curiosity: are there americans with auto-adjustable european head light units without connected vacuum suplyance and with a very well aimed head light unit?? That is something impossible as far as I know...You have to connect the vacuum system in these headlights in order to get good visibility...
