1994 C280 Ait Intake Sensor Problem

Well my thread was going well there but it ws lost....oh well.

To make a long story short. Check engine light was on. Dealer told me earlier it ws an "air intake sensor" during an EGR rebuild. wanting to explore more I did not have them fix it.

There was a hesitation at stop lights when the gas was pressed. I tried the cheap solution of replacing the air intake temp sensor, but the CEL came back on in two days. then I had the codes pulled mysekf and it came up with P0101 - Air Mass Meter Problem

I found one for $280.00 Bosch OEM and replaced it and the car runs like brand new, no hesitation, no CEL, no poor idle.

so for a total of $300 I foundthe problem. I believe at the dealer it would have costs about $450.00

Thanks to all those that helped, Arthur et al. You were right it WAS the air mass meter, not the sir intake temp sensor.
