Hi,

I noticed a code - 585 (above the mileage display in the dash) with a wrench symbol & clock symbol next to it on my 98 S420 last night. It goes away after I put the car in reverse. Any ideas or suggestions. Thanks

It means you have 585 miles to go, before your next scheduled service is do.
Hopefully this will give you enough leadtime to go and rob a bank, so you can pay for the service.
