240D 1982-manual sunroof lever-where is it?

Where do I find the manual crank to close my sunroof? The thing stopped working and it's open!

i think it is in the

trunk close to the gas filler cap in side, near the top. look around there, it will say in the owners manual with an illustration. near the base of the back window.

Actually the drivers side trunk is the location. Remove the interior panel of the left wheel well and you will see a bolt head that is used to crank the sunroof closed. I think the tool kit has the wrench or its the same size as the whel lugnuts, not sure about the wrench size. But it's in the divers side wheel well of the trunk.

use a 17mm socket to manually crank and be sure to have the key in ignition for accessory power

It is in the trunk, usually found on the left side, towards the wheel arch. I believe with your model there is a small plastic panel that is opened for access to the motor and its manual closing nut. The nut I believe is a 17mm.
