Hi all, Just a question about MB tranny's. In cold days my tranny has problem shifting gears, this happens in the first 5 or 8 minutes of of putting the car on D. I called my MB tech and told me that is normal and all new MB tranny's need to warm up, is that correct? Thanks

Yes. Designed to promote a few higher revs to speed engine warmup.

I assume this is on the 300TD? The transmission on the car is programmed to delay the upshifts following a cold start. This is done for cold start emmissions to warm up the catalytic converter faster.
