ML vibration
My girl friend's 99 ML320 just developed a vibration in the front area, that occurs mostly when the car is first put in reverse, but seems to continue at a lower level in Drive as well, again while just sitting still. This happens when the car is first started, not moving yet. The vibration seems to be emanating from the left front quadrant of the engine compartment, but I can see nothing there out of the ordinary. Checked PS fluid; seems at right level.
Anyone have some ideas??

My first guess would be the motor mount...

Yes, check the motor mounts first and also check that your harmonic balancer is in one piece!

Thanks to GBenz and BenzTech13
You guys were correct in regard to the ML vibration problem; girl friend is having the two motor mounts and the tranny mount replaced shortly.
Thanks for the good advice !! Ben Carter (Disguised as the Blue Eagle)
