Question Front Suspension 300 SD - 1982

Hello Friends:
It is a pleasure returning to this site and be in touch with nice friends.
My Mercedes Benz 300 SD - 1982 - 126 Chassis has the front passenger side "Steering Knuckle" with a damaged thread for the nut that holds the "Hub" and bearings. Looking carefuly on it, I believe that is possible this thread to be rethreaded using a correct die.It seems to be 18mmX1.0 as pitch
Now there is the question for every one:Before buy a die to performe this job in my MB I would like to be sure if the thread diameter and pitch is correct.
This thread was damaged by an old nut that had a bad thread.
I have a new nut and now before go ahead and try to repair the Knuckle thread I will appreciate your words regarding "Thread Size" and how much it will be worth comparing with changing a Knuckle for an used good one.
My thanks for every one for all sugestions.

Nyck
