1987 Mercedes 300E Passenger side Parking Light

The passenger side parking light illuminates when the turn signal is activated, will not illuminate when the lights are activated.

Passenger side Parking Light

Dear Mr Ashman,
Thanks for your thread I have already checked the filliment an it is fine and it is a two stage filliment. Could there possibily be a short and how do I check for short the wires are not frayed, burned, or charred this is baffling me.

Red face bulb failure

I had a similar problem on my 76 450SEL; turn signal was erratic -- even tho' the bulb "looked good". I just replaced the bulb with a new 1157 and all worked fine from that point on. BC
