Location of vacuum modulator on 1987 190E?

I am needing to check the vacuum modulator on 1987 190E. Could someone tell me where that is located on the transmission, please? I am needing to work on car outside and it is cold these days so your info will help me find and check it out a quicker. (the manual doesn't show it.) Thanks a lot!

It is on the passenger side of the transmission and is a yellowish plastic box with two lines going into it. One is a cable and the other is a vacuum line.

The vacuum line is black with a green stripe. Make sure it is connected to something under the hood. If it is connected please tell me what the vacuun line is connected to. Is it connected at the firewall of the engine compartment?

Located on the left side on the transmission....

easy to take off, but hard to put it back.....
can take it off less the 5 mins, but spend about 3 hours to put it back..... the top screw is very very hard to put back....

You are absolutely right mercedes230.625. The modulator is as described in the Fast Lane picture and located on the Driver's side of the transmission.

You also solved my problem because that is where my vacuum line is supposed to go. I was looking at another vacuum line on the other side of the transmission. I have spent all weekend and part of Friday looking for a place to plug a stray vacuum line into.

You are the hero of the week!
