| heater fan problems (i'm freezing!)

1991 300 SE. I have searched the forums here and am quite pleased with the wealth of information. However I am at a loss because all of the things said to check here are fine. I checked the strip fuse it was intact but melted on one side. I touched it and it fell apart basically. I also checked the green/pink wire from ignition no power in on position. If I supply power to the strip fuse area viola fan works. I would consider that something may be wrong with the ingition but everything else still works. And when whatever happened it was like a fuse blew or something in the car and then no fan. Thanks in advance benz gurus.......Nate
