Here's the background:
Like an idiot, I go to town (15 miles or so) in the middle of a snow storm (over two feet of snow.) The roads are not plowed and by the time I get home my 91 300e 4matic is overheating (not pegged, but close to 120c.) I am assuming this was due to the fact that the wheel wells were packed with snow. I open the trunk, light comes on, then close the trunk. When I open the trunk again, the light is out. I then clean out the wheel wells and call it a night.
This morning, the dome light does not come on when I open the door, so I swich the light to full time on. I start the car and then again open the trunk and when I shut it, the dome light starts flashing. The flashing stops when I turn the switch to full time off, but the seat belt light keeps flashing. This was the situation for my entire ride to work. Also the radio would not work and flashed E - 2 before turning off.
The car ran fine and the temp stayed within range.
When I get home tonight I plan on disconnecting and reconnecting the battery and checking for blown fuses. Any other suggestions or direction to proceed?
