Best place to purchase owners manuals?

I am in desperate need of an owners manual for my 1985 Mercedes, but cannot find one ANYWHERE. I do not know how many of the controls/functions on this car works. I know I could check them all out, but I do not want to press the "wrong" button.

Can anyone steer me in the right direction for finding one? It is a 380SE, but it seems as if there are seperate ones for each model, rather than the "class". I thought one would cover the entire "S-Class" line. I found one, but it was for a 300SD. Did the 380SE and 500SEL share the same manual, or are they seperate as well?

Thanks!

Owner's manual

You might try e-bay also. I got mine there - at a reasonable price.

Thanks. Tried E-Bay and could not find one. There was one for a 85' 300SD there for $49.00! None to be found for a 380SE. Will keep checking e-bay.

No, I did not try 1-800-for-mercedes. That may be next on my list.

Thanks again!

The MB dealer should be able to order them to you.
Most times, they are as cheap as the ones offered at ebay.

Regard it as a spare part.

Definitely try MBUSA (1-800-FOR-MERC) as the Webmaster suggested. They may even send it to you for free.

Thanks. I will try them on Monday. It would be nice if they would send it for free. I know that Lexus does. When I had my 90' LS400, I was told I could get a free manual from them. I already had my old one, but I wanted a new one. They sent it - FREE.

Thanks!

The 124 service manual cd also has a copy of a 400E owner's manual on it. I am not sure which model 126 owners manual is on the 126 CD, but it is a question worth asking.
