I had some problems lately with the cruise control. When cold cruise is working fine for the first 10-15 miles then if I am going in stop and go trafic for a while and then back on the freeway the cruise does not engage. I was looking back thru the posts and I did replace all brake light bulbs but no improvment. If I am shuting off the engine and then restart cruise is working again. No other problem to be repoted ...engine works perfect, no high idle, no surging

ON the 1993 300E 2.8, the cruise is controlled thru the isc/cc/ea computer. That computer has memory, & can be scanned for faults. Start there.
