I got in my clear corners from a seller on EBay. They look great. Install took 30 seconds literally. Worth the money.

Here's the before and after for anyone interested:

Looks very nice! I want to put clear corners on as well.

BTW, why does your 400E site not have anything about a 400E on it??

I am in the process of overhaulling the site. I know, there are only a few pics and some vids up now. I am working on it. It's better than nothing I figured.

Almost bought a pair for $20

on ebay and went outside to look at wife's 94. It basically has clear corners except the little yellow near fender. i am thinking about them for my 560 but not sure about the look on it.

I too like the look of the newer clear corners with the small band of yellow near the fender. Does anyone know if you can get that type of corner for the W124?

I have the clear corners on the 560 SEL. They are noticeable. It looks good to me. The white one with the yellow band inside probably can be purchased at the dealer but, it'll be pretty pricey. It is the OEM-Bosch. To get a better price, call one the MB parts stores or PartsShop Online. I am sure they can get a pair for you.

Clear corners with yellow band for W124?

Does anyone know if this more modern version of the OE corners will fit on the earlier W124?

The W124 corners are interchangeable throughout the model line from 86-94. It was the only part of the front lighting system they never touched. They just changed the color.

I have clear corners on my 1986 300e (W124) and I love them. The only problem I had was finding yellow bulbs to go inside. I got my lenses from

http://www.preformanceproducts.com

They advertise that the corners come with bulbs, but they were the wrong kind. I simply used the OEM sockets and put in some cheap bulbs I got at Kragen. They work... but they're not German and I worry about compatibility and wattage. If you want my opinion, yellow lenses would look good on a yellow car, but if you have a different colored car, get the clear.

Before you go to preformance products, check ebay. The dealer does not carry these. They are aftermarket.

yal or someone?

My '88 300E has the yellow corners. If the W124 corners are interchangeable throughout the model line from 86-94, when did the yellow corners change to clear with the band of yellow?

I believe they changed for '94 model year, with other minor cosmetics (star on hood vice grill, etc.)

Like Mitch said the clears with the band of yellow came in the last (and some would say the best) incarnation of the W124's, in 93-94. Incidently the european versions don't have a band of yellow so be careful if you're shopping around for them. The best place to get the clears with the band of yellow is a US MB dealer. Just pretend you have a 94 when you ask

We people are really funny/strange sometimes, aren't we? I remember about 1964/5 when manufacturers started the big switch from clear to orange parking/signal lights - people were switching out their older, clear lenses to orange for the same reasons so many now are switching from orange to clear. All of this is OK, of course!! It's just interesting to see the changes back & forth. We all have different likes, interest, etc. That's one reason we all have different names, isn't it?
