Exclamation 420SEL tranny sluggish & high idle

HELLO ALL ,I bought a 1989 420sel 168,000. I got the car so cheap I never drove the car, it sat for about 2yrs then I moved so I had to move the car to my surprize I put cables on it and in 5 mins had this thing running, the drive to the new house was about 7 miles so I jus started driving. I went to the gas station, it had about a 1/2 tank so I needed no gas I checked the oil it was at the right level , but the trans was kinda sluggish so i put some dex III in it and started on my way after getting to far to turn back the trans got more and more sluggish, I made it home thank GOD.

Heres more info on the wrong doings of this car the hood latches dont work I sprayed some WD40 on them now one of them works

the rear pass side door window will go down but won't go up,
the the 126 alarm was a nut I could't get the thing to go off, i put the key in the door and turned it and got nothing so with some reading on this site
Ifound out how to unhook ,it thanx for that

could my sluggish trans be the need of a new filter or am i in need of another trans?
oh yeah my head cover gasket are leaking and I smell buring oil in the car is that coming from the oil getting on the exuast did i spell that right

thanx for any info
