i don't know that is why i'm asking.... according to the pics i saw, my engine is abit different than the turbo...so i'm not sure...but my tranny in goin thru gears almost immediately, all 4 before 25 mph, and that has been the nut it seems i need to adjust accordingto what i've read...but i'm open to other suggestions

Your model car should have a 722.1, transmission, which
Use push, pull rods for pressure control; located on the passenger Side of the engine routed down to the transmission. The modulator, if it’s a 722.1 transmisison is also on the passenger Side, on the transmission tail. |

yeah i found out today that an 81 300d does not have a bowden cable..., i will look for the modulator and the push rod deal on the passenger side of the engine...thanks...any other info on adjusting a tranny that is shifting thru 4th gear before around 25mph and has virtually no power????
