1998 E320 Vibration

Ok, my E320 is vibrating through the steering wheel adn dash board. It is primarily when the vehicle is in gear at idle like at a red light. If I place the transmission in neutral, the vibration goes away. Any ideas?

A little bit of vibration in drive is normal. The engine is under load in a low RPM situation. When in neutral, the vibration goes away because you are unloading the engine. If the vibration is significant, you may want to investigate the motor mounts.

Bad motor mounts, some vibrations through the wheel are normal, however more then that is not.

Thanks

Thank you for the input. The vibration is very aggressive and has increased over the past year. I am going to go for the motor mounts. They look like alot of fun to replace!
