A Class Steering

I have a 2002 Classic A Class, 23000km. At speed [100-120k]the steering seems to be extremely sensitive and the slightest gust of wind, or a small bump makes the front end seem quite unstable. The wheel alignment has been done but has made little difference. Any ideas? Peter
