Vacuum tube color codes / diameters
Today I was out fiddling with the engine compatment and I accidently yanked on a vacuum line and it snapped like a pretzel, it's was cold out today. Anyway I managed to splice it back together with a piece of rubber emissions tubing. My question - is the color of the vacuum line related to the inside/outside diameter of the tube? The one I broke was yellow with a blue line. Seing how brittle it was makes me think I should start to replace some lines. I'm sure there is some kind of specs. on these color codes, just havn't run across it anywhere. Any thoughts on this? Thanks

The specs are similar to the colors on wires. They denote the system involved and the segment in question. Other than matching the unions the size really doesn't matter. Where ever flow is critical there will be a metered oriface in the system.
