throttle linkage
does anyone have or know where i can find a tutorial on how to adjust the throttle linkage...i have an 81 300d and this morning when i went to drive it i got no response from the pedal, i checked it out and when i manually pull the throttle at the engine everything goes fine, but when i push on the pedal virtually nothin, so somehow the mechanical part of the throttle linkage is out of whack...my haynes book is pretty vague and i was wanting to get a bit more information..

you dont need to adjust the linkages just the part that connects to the pedal or adjust the alda and clean the banjo bolts plus inspect the turbo for play
check the bajo bolts clean them etc adjust the alda and inspect the turbo for shaft play forward and back and ease of spin.... then start worrying about linakges also when was the last time the fuel filters were changed.. how long did the car sit etc etc.. the linkages are set to precises lengths for the engine to operate.. no need to mess with them unless absolutley neccessary |

I changed all the fuel filters during another problem i was having a week or two ago...i don't have a turbo, which means i don't think i have a banjo bolt either, but i could be wrong...and i'm pretty sure its somethin in the mechanical part of the linkage or the peddle b/c i can watch it when i have someone else push on the pedal how it does not fully engage, but when i pull on it myself it engages just fine, andn i'm not sure how to adjust the pedal, or the alda...
