Car Overheated

I own 1989 Mercedes Benz 300CE, it overheated on me, and I looked at the engine and it looks like water was coming from the water pump where it meets the crankcase, the water pump and the thermostat are new (6 months old). I looked in the reservoir and the is white gunk inside, can anyone please tell me what that is or I blew something in the engine. Thanks

Usual problem after over heating. Head gasket fails a each end and that is where the oil riser galleries are. The oil mixes with the coolant and the water pump whips it all up into maonaise, as you see in the bottle.

Needs head gasket and surfacing of cylinder head.
These twin cam 6 cylinder engines rarely need anything other than new valve stem seals/head gasket/water pump/coolant hoses...bottom end is nearly indestructable.

Hope this is what you wanted to hear.
