I did a search but couldn't come up with anything here. I have heard in the past that the inline 6 in the S320 and E320 are notorious for oil leaks. Can anyone share more information on this? I have a family member with a 98 S320 that is now producing oil leaks on the garage floor.
Thanks in advance for any light you can shed on this. |

Head gasket failure causing oil leaks is very common on the M104. However, the 98 has the new V6. I have not heard of any problem like this on the newer engine. Also, is the car still under warranty?

Oops, I forget that the S class still had the M104 that year.
