Update to H20 in console

Car started today but it is in "limp home mode". It will not come out of second gear. Still going to the shop on Mon. morning. I know it needs to be checked but, is there a way to get it out of this mode maybe a reset button??? Thanks again for all the information. 2000E430

When the problem goes away the system will reset itself upon cycling the key.

You might try a hair drier on the shift module. The shift module is a separate control unit that creats a signla that is transfered to the other modules mainly the trans controller through the CAN network.
