Smile Bilstein or Boge Shocks?

1992 300E. What are your thoughts on shock replacement brands? I've heard good things about both Boge and Bilstein. Thanks!!

I'm happy with my Bilstein's; I've read that they are very well constructed internally and they also really honor their warranties (which, AFAIK, are lifetime). The price was brutal, though; shop around.

Thumbs up

I have Gabriel on the SDL, I've very pleased with the ride quality. I'm talkin' I am amazed they're of this caliber. I'm going to pick up a set for the SD next. Firm but not overly aggressive.

Lifetime on them, $22/ea, and pick them up locally... can't beat it for me.

Both are good products.

Suggest the Bilstein HDs though for better handling.

I have HDs on my 300E. Like it but a bit stiff -- hard to compair before and after because they were really shot before I replaced them. I like it, but have often wonderes if the regulars would be better.
