240d Vent fell out of dash

Help!!!
The vent assembly/ regulator on passenger side fell back into the dash board.

I am replacing my speakers and thought I would just slide it back in, since I have access. The regulator has decided diffrent. Does anyone know the trick to doing this? I dont seem to get it. I am starting to think my car is evil.

Help.
