Hard downshift, bad flex disk?

"Hard downshift from 2nd to 1st.
I have a 1999 C230 Kompressor with the learning automatic transmission. I was able to solve the clunk downshift from 2nd to 1st by replacing the front flex disc."

I found this in the Benzworld W202 forum. My '99 C280, 70K miles, has started to occasionaly do the hard 2nd to 1st downshift. Is this an indication the front flex disk is worn out? Anyone else fix a hard downshift this way? I'm being a little lazy

, I haven't searched for this yet. I thought I would just throw it out there.
