Instrument Cluster 208 CLK Cabrio
I replaced a faulty Instrument Cluster (LED display and fuel gauge reading problems) with a second hand unit. I'm having difficulty coding the replacement unit, my fuel gauge reads backwards and I am told it is imposible to recode values for the fuel gauge. Is this true??. I'm scared to buy a new Cluster and end up with the same proplem. Please help

the cluster cannot be recoded from one vehicle to the next, they are "married" to the original vehicle that they were installed in. the cluster has the vin coded in from the car it was removed from. your only option is to buy a new one if you want everything to work properly, if that was your problem in the first place. they can only be properly coded using mercedes factory laptop tool. |
