SEAT HEAD REST DRIVERS SIDE WON'T WORK? 1999 E320 resyncronize?

How do I resyncronzie the head rest on the drivers seat? Whenever I hit the button I can hear a click in the seat, but the head rest does not move up and down. I do not have the manual so I can't just look at how to do that. Can somebody please assist me with this? Or could be a bigger probably of something that would need to be replaced?
