The battery to my 1993 300-SE went dead. It's located in the trunk of the car. I attempted to "jump it off", using another battery & cables, which didn't work. I closed the trunk lid, to try later with another battery. Later, I was unable to open the trunk lid at all. I've tried just about everything, except a wrecking bar. Does anyone know how to open trunks in this situation? Is it tied in to the car's security system & need battery power? There's supposed to be some "jump poles" under the hood, but I don't have a clue as to where.

Have you tried opening the trunk with the key in the trunk tumbler? Maybe the trunk lock is manually locked. Try unlocking the trunk with the key (I believe counter-clockwise) and push the tumbler in.
